I'm constantly amazed at the number of people, who upon discovering my profession as a school teacher say, "Wow, I just don't know how you do it."  My response is always the same, "I love my job.  The children do all the work.  I simply love them, guide them, and on occasion, correct them."  I have complete faith in the power of a child's imagination and their quest for understanding, awareness, and improvement.  The educational philosophy that drives my classroom stems from that which drives my life.  I believe that each day we are blessed to live, we experience life as both teachers and students.  There are "teachable moments" within each and every day.  If we are keen observers and learn from our experiences, then we are growing; as individuals, as families, and as a communities, both intellectually and morally.  Therefore, it is every person's obligation to be a passionate and patient purveyor of the learning process, and encourage the love and pursuit of wisdom.

As an experienced school teacher, I can attest to the amount of time, effort, and love that educators willingly give to each student.  However, there is no greater teacher in a child's life, than that of their own parent(s).  For that reason I founded Cuddle-Up Books, LLC.  It is my goal to create children's books that are fun, educational, and interactive.  On my website, visitors can find activities that illustrate and expand upon the "teachable moments" presented in my books.  These lessons are free and can be downloaded by parents to help facilitate and enrich their child's growth and development.
