The Guardsmen

As a teacher who has taught inner-city students, I know first-hand the difficulties and challenges they face.  That is why I am excited to announce my partnership with The Guardsmen, a "top-knotch" organization that dedicates their time and energy to benefit children.  The Guardsmen sponsor several events throughout the year, and I hope to attend at least a few of them.  If you would like further information about this organization, or if you would like to make a donation, please visit the official website of The Guardsmen.

The Kindness Challenge

I have been introduced to an amazing woman named Kathie Harrington.   Kathie is an author as well, and has started what she calls "The Kindness Challenge".  The Kindness Challenge from Kathie’s World is growing rapidly.  These are intentional acts of kindness. They are not random, they are planned. These acts of kindness are not only for the people receiving but for the givers. It is truly as rewarding to give as it is to receive.  I plan on donating books to this Kindness Challenge, as well as creating one of my own.  If you would like to become a part of this challenge or if you would simply like more information, please feel free to contact me or visit Kathie's World.

This is the true story of a family living in Texas, suddenly confronted with the stark reality of brain cancer.  Adapting to this common enemy, the family pulled together in a collective support network to help the mother deal with the crisis, while reminiscing and savoring the special moments they have enjoyed together over the years.
